Tom Pasquini
Tom was born in Eureka, CA. He attended College of the Redwoods before transferring to CSU Chico, where he majored in Business. Tom is married to his wonderful wife Holly, and has four very special chidlren, Abby, Chelsea, Zoe, and Levi. Tom tried substitute teaching four years after graduating and decided to go back to school to become a teacher. He taught math for ten years at Anderson and West Valley and then went back to school again to become a counselor. Besides his regular counseling activities, Tom also teaches a peer helping class, which a fellow counselor, Rob Swendiman and Tom started. The class is called S.H.O.P., which stands for Students Helping Other People. The class teaches listening, communication, empathy, and helping skills. He is lucky enough to co-coordinate with Shawn Martinez and Tiffanie Fife the Link Crew program which helps freshman transition to high school. Tom also helps with West Valley's lunchtime intramural program. He feels very fortunate to be able to assist the S.H.O.P. and Link Crew students to help other students, which makes West Valley a safe, supportive, and enjoyable place to go to school.
