Alex Woodman - Department Chair
Mr. Woodman teaches AP Calculus, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus, THE BEATLES, and how to be a good citizen. He also coaches Freshman Volleyball. Mr. Woodman loves working at West Valley because of the family atmosphere and all the great people he gets to hang around with each day. Mr. Woodman has been published in BRAIN DAMAGE magazine.

Debbie Chrasta
Debbie Chrasta is a Pre-Algebra and Algebra 2 teacher at West Valley High School. She graduated from Mercy High School in 1986 and from CSU, Chico in 1990 with a Liberal Studies degree. She started teaching in 1991. During her career, she has taught every grade level except for second grade. She lives in Los Molinos with her husband Mark who is an English teacher at West Valley. They have a son, James, a daughter, Emily (aren't they cute?), and one dog, Ariel.

Dave Roach
Dave Roach, Business teacher, 1977 graduate of California State University, Sacramento B.S. Business Administration - Business Teacher Education. Hired to the AUHS District : August 31, 1977. Taught 4 years at Anderson Union High School, Subjects : Typing, record-keeping, career planning. Coaching Positions : Assistant Freshman Football 3 years. Transfered to be a part of intial staff at West Valley High-summer 1998 starting 20th year at WVHS. Subjects : Keyboarding, money and youth, record keeping, business math, accounting, programming, computer science, current problems, pre-algebra, and business machines Coaching positions : Frosh football, 4 years, JV Baseball 11 years. Wife Janet of 25 years, Employed on the Anderson Campus. Son Matthew, Age 23, Senior at Chico State. Interests: various athletic activities, fishing, hunting, family travel, reading, and dreaming. Philosophy: It takes real effort and constant work to keep a healthy perspective in education.

Chelsy Stoufer
Chelsy was born and raised in Red Bluff and graduated from Red Bluff High in 2001. She attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo for five years and graduated with a bachelor degree of science in mathematics. She played D1 softball for Cal Poly for four of the five years and played on the beach the rest of the time. After graduating, Chesly came back up to Chico State to get her credential. This is her first year teaching, but she was a student teacher for Mrs. Chrasta last year. Chelsy loves snowboarding, wakeboarding, and traveling. Dave Matthews Band is absolutley her favorite, and she loves being outdoors as much as possible. Last summer, Chelsy backpacked through Europe, and she plans to travel the world during her summers. She'd also like to say that math rocks, teaching rocks, and she loves West Valley!

Tom Wyrick
Mr. Wyrick was born in South Laguna Beach, CA in 1967, but shortly thereafter moved to the Redding area. He graduated from Shasta High School in 1986, and went on to UC Berkeley, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1992. He went back to school in 1996 to get his teaching credentials, and minors in geology and physics at CSU Chico. After receiving his credentials, he taught at West Cottonwood Junior High School for a year before moving to the Anderson Union High School District in 2000. The school year of 2002-2003 Mr. Wyrick began teaching at West Valley. Mr. Wyrick and his wife, Amber, have a son, Layton, and a daughter, Crosby (what a sweet name). Mr. Wyrick has been coaching the boys and girls tennis teams since the 2003-2004 school year. He also enjoys Rock and Roll music, golf, backpacking and is a huge Oakland Raiders fan.
